Mission

Nomadiq started in 2018, when Pooja was traveling through Europe and reflecting on her backpacking adventures in Asia a few years prior. She realized that nothing made her feel more alive and liberated than immersing herself in the sights, sounds, smells, and foods of new cultures.

Having discovered the European concept of a "gap year" (generally, a year after high school where parents encourage their children to go out and see the world), she fell in love with the idea of evoking a similar wanderlust in Americans that she believed was comparatively lacking.

At this time, she was also just beginning to recover from debilitating sleep issues and realized that her true calling was starting a philanthropic venture that not only inspired people to travel, but was also focused on helping animals who are abused, treated inhumanely, or at risk of being poached.

But she promised herself one thing - no matter what she sold, at least 15% of profits would always be donated to an animal sanctuary or animal conservation efforts in the country in which she purchased the item.
